'True Lies' to be rebooted as a TV series

True Lies, a series based on James Cameron’s film of the same name, has been ordered by CBS. The show was picked up after the pilot was filmed, and CBS deemed it a success.

The overall plot of the series follows the plot of the original film. Helen, a bored suburban housewife, learns that her mediocre husband is a spy and becomes embroiled in his schemes.

The series will star Steve Howey (Harry) and Ginger Gonzaga (Helen). This is how they appear in a scene from the pilot episode.

According to Deadline, the True Lies series has a long history. The project began in 2016, and over the next six years, he switched studios several times before settling on CBS.

Matt Nix will write and executive produce the series, which will be produced by 20th Television. The first season will not be released until 2023.
