The future of Project Cars

Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker and industry insider, spoke out for Exputer magazine in a report detailing several racing games rumored to be in development under the Electronic Arts banner. Project Cars from Slightly Mad Studios is most likely one of them. These were acquired by Codemasters in 2019 before being absorbed into the Electronic Arts family a year later. The new game should simply be called Project Cars 4, according to Henderson’s report. Furthermore, the game is expected to be released exclusively for PC and current-generation consoles. For the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, this appears to be the case. More information is currently unavailable, but Henderson estimates that the release will take place in 2024.
