The US Federal Trade Commission has decided to investigate the Sony-Bungie deal.

According to the authors of The Information, the US Federal Trade Commission has decided to investigate another major gaming deal. The agency will now examine the $3.6 billion deal struck between Sony and Bungie at the end of January.
The FTC, according to media reports, requested information on the deal last week. At the same time, the antimonopoly agency is unlikely to interfere with the closure, but the investigation may cause a six-month or longer delay in completion. Although no official date has been set, the acquisition is now expected to be completed in early 2023.
The US Federal Trade Commission is increasingly paying attention to such acquisitions, according to the Information journalists, especially in light of recent Microsoft deals. The latter is now attempting to complete the $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
