The second season of “Taboo” is expected to begin filming by the end of 2023.

Do you recall “Taboo,” the bleak Tom Hardy series set in London in 1814, in which he savaged his foes on the streets? In 2017, the show was officially renewed for a second season, but there has been no word on a sequel since then. Many people even assumed there would be no second season at all, but this was not the case.

During a performance in Birmingham, showrunner Steven Knight confirmed that a second season of Taboo is still in the works, though filming will not begin until late 2023. The delay, he said, was due to scheduling issues:

I expect [второо сеона] to begin production by the end of next year. Both Tom and I, as well as many others who want to see a sequel, want to see this story continue. It’s all about scheduling and deciding where to go next.

Knight аlso stаted thаt not one, but two new seаsons аre on the wаy. The most importаnt thing is thаt there should not be аny more breаks between them thаn there аre now.
