The iPod Touch is no longer manufactured by Apple.

Apple has announced on its official website that it will no longer be producing the Touch, the latest generation of iPod players. The company justified its decision by stating that all of the necessary features for listening to music have long been available in its other products.

The player will be available as long as “stocks are available,” according to Cupertino, and can be purchased on the company’s official website, in Apple branded stores, and through authorized dealers.

The first iPod Touch was released a year after it was introduced in the fall of 2007. The device was primarily purchased by those who wanted a music player with many iPhone features at a lower price.

The seventh and final generation of iPod Touch was released in May 2019. The first iPod was released in 2001, and by 2007, 110 million units had been sold.
