UK citizens who have lived in the EU country for more than six months will no longer be able to use their DVLA-issued driver’s licenses and will need to obtain a Spanish driver’s license. Visitors to the country who hold a valid UK driver’s license will not be affected by the change. “That’s us screwed, due to the pandemic our TIEs [Spanish Foreigner Identity Cards] were delayed and we didn’t get them until April after the deadline,” expat Ward Priestman wrote on the Facebook group Brits in Spain.
