Sturgeon is enraged by a “massive” Tory plot to conceal “serial breaches” and backs Starmer.


After an investigation into claims that he held a dinner and drank beer with colleagues inside when it was prohibited by Covid regulations, the Scottish First Minister defended the Labour leader.

“What I do think is pretty obvious is that the Conservatives are engaged in a massive operation to divert attention away from Boris Johnson,” Ms Sturgeon said.

“And not just Boris Johnson’s single rule-breaking, but what appears to be a pattern of rule-breaking, as well as Boris Johnson’s inability to be honest with the House of Commons.”
