Over the English Channel, a Falcon plane makes an emergency 7700 squawk call.

The Falcon 20e G-FRAF jet sent the code from 3,400 feet above the Bournemouth coast, with flight tracking data indicating it had just flown over the English Channel. The plane’s destination and the reason for the 7700 signal transmission are still unknown. Boeing flight captain Ken Hoke explained squawking to Flightradar24 as a way for an aircraft to notify traffic control of an emergency so that on-the-ground assistance can be provided.
