In honor of the 20th anniversary of Morrowind, the multiplayer version of the game added support for virtual reality

The developers of The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind’s multiplayer version (there is one) have released a build compatible with OpenMW VR to commemorate the game’s 20th anniversary. This is a virtual-reality adaptation of Morrowind.

In virtual reality, players can now explore Morrowind’s province with friends. Players who use headsets can explore the same world as those who don’t, and they can also interact with one another.

The only drawback is that when using a VR headset and controllers in multiplayer, other players are unable to see the precise movements of the player’s hands. Character animations are played at these times.

In version 0.8.1 of TES3MP, virtual reality support is included. Even those who do not plan to use VR should upgrade because the new version has other improvements, according to the developers.

The latest version of TES3MP can be downloaded from the GitHub project page.
