The director of the original action film “Hitman,” John Woo, has finally confirmed work on the English-language remake of the tape, according to IndieWire. For more than a decade, Wu has been working on a reimagining of his classic, but it appears that things have progressed.
John is known to be working with Universal Pictures, and the rethinking is set to premiere on the Peacock service.
The lead character’s identity is unknown. In 2018, it was reported that Lupita Nyong’o, the star of Black Panther, would take over the lead role from a male character.
Whether Nyong’o will appear in the film is unknown at this time. This will most likely be announced soon. In 2023, a remake is planned.
