The hopes that Creative Assembly had for Total War: Warhammer 3 were dashed when, just three months after its release, the peak daily online strategy dropped by 95%, from 166 thousand to only 8,000 players. This is the worst character in the whole trilogy.
For comparison, three months after its release, online sales of the first part of Total War: Warhammer dropped by 87%, from 113 thousand to 14 thousand. Over the same time period, the sequel’s popularity dropped by 75%, from 72,000 to 17,000 gamers.
If you look at the graphs, you’ll notice that the total online of all three strategies is currently lower than it was before the release of Total War: Warhammer 2. At its peak last year, about 25,000 people watched the sequel, and today, all three parts draw no more than 20,000 people.
