The cast for the sixth installment of “Scream” has been completed, according to Paramount. At least four of the characters from the fifth film will appear in the sequel: Sam, Mindy, Chad, and Tara.
Melissa Barrera, Jasmine Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Jenna Ortega will reprise their respective roles. According to Deadline, the four are “the franchise’s next generation of actors.”
The sixth installment of “Scream” will take place in a different location than the fifth film: after the fifth film’s finale, the four chose to leave the city. Other plot details have remained unknown.
The film’s creative team is the same as the fifth installment. Tyler Gillett and Matthew Bettinelli directed the film, which was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busiek.
