Square Enix plans to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series with a series of events, and has promised to announce details soon. According to analyst David Gibson, the publisher mentioned it at a shareholder meeting on Friday.
The news is expected in a month or two, and it will reportedly include the announcement of new games as well as a new trailer for Final Fantasy 16, which should also be ready.
Square Enix recently launched the 35th anniversary site for Final Fantasy, the company’s most well-known franchise. To put it another way, Final Fantasy XIV alone consumed the entire budget for the previous fiscal year, and there are plans for Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 as well. Other information related to the other chapters of the saga could be revealed if desired.
