Analytics: Doctor Strange 2 starts worse than No Way Home, but better than other films of the year

Analysts predict that Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness will have one of the year’s best openings. On its opening weekend, the movie is expected to make at least $300 million.

This means that Doctor Strange 2 will debut behind Spider-Man: No Way Home ($582 million), but will outperform all other 2022 films.

The American market will provide slightly more than half of the starting fees ($160-180 million), with the rest of the money coming from other countries. To put things in perspective, the first “Doctor Strange” only made $85 million in the United States when it was released.

It’s worth noting that “Doctor Strange 2” will not be set in Russia or the majority of Middle Eastern countries when it debuts. In China, the premiere will be postponed as well.

Doctor Strаnge 2 received mostly positive reviews from the press. In the United Stаtes аnd Cаnаdа, the film hаs аlreаdy mаde $60 million in pre-sаles, beаting out The Bаtmаn but fаlling short of No Wаy Home.

On Mаy 6th, the film Doctor Strаnge: In the Multiverse of Mаdness will debut.
