Dark Souls’ PvP mode is currently being worked on by FromSoftware.

The Dark Souls fan community reported in January that hackers had discovered a new vulnerability in the series’ games. Its essence was that when a player entered PvP mode, a hacker could invade his world and take control of his computer remotely.

Publisher Bandai Namco shut down servers for all three games in the franchise after receiving numerous complaints from gamers. The redditor recently decided to contact the company to see if they would resolve the issue. Developers from FromSoftware are currently working on it, according to the publisher.

Bandai Namco is planning to restart the game servers as soon as possible. She didn’t specify a specific date or timeframe. If the exploit worked in the Elden Ring online mode, I believe it would be discovered in a matter of days.
