Console players will receive a free copy of Elite: Dangerous for PC and will be able to transfer their accounts.

Following the cancellation of the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the Oddysey expansion in March, Frontier Developments discussed how it plans to “transplant” console players to the PC version of Elite: Dangerous.

The developers of the space simulator have announced that all console owners will receive a free copy of the game for PC. Elite: Dangerous will be told separately about how the process of obtaining the creators’ version will take place.

Furthermore, console players who switch to PC will be able to transfer their account to all subsequent games as part of a one-time promotion. Furthermore, it will only be available if “one account within one copy of the game” is calculated.
