During a new interview, Halo Infinite Head of Creative Joseph Staten revealed that classic cards may be coming to the game in the future.
The veteran developer, who has been involved with the franchise since Halo 2, hinted on the Kinda Funny Xcast podcast that classic maps from previous games could be part of 343 Industries’ plans for Halo Infinite’s future.
Staten responds to the host’s question about why 343 didn’t add classic cards to the game as a “buffer” between new content:
This is an excellent suggestion. There are a lot of fantastic cards. It would be fantastic to play them again. It sounds amusing… I’ll make a note of it in my notebook.
Although this is not a confirmation, the developers appear to be considering this option. By the way, the old maps were included as an add-on in the Xbox 360 Halo games. This will be made even easier by the seasonal structure.
