Today, on May 9, Russians commemorate Nazi Germany’s surrender at the end of World War II.

Putin drew parallels between the current conflict in Ukraine and Russian efforts in the 1940s in a highly anticipated speech.

Hackers broke into the online Russian TV scheduling page just hours before, claiming the country has “blood on its hands.”
