Following Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s controversial remarks that “Hitler had Jewish blood” and Putin’s justification for his invasion of Ukraine by claiming their government is run by neo-Nazis, posters have begun to appear on bus stops in Russia.

They depict well-known Swedes such as Pippi Longstocking author Astrid Lindgren, Ikea founder Ingvar Kamprad, and film director Ingmar Bergman with the slogan “We are against Nazism, they are not” written in the Cyrillic alphabet.

The Russian flag emphasizes the word “we,” while the Swedish flag emphasizes the word “they.”
