An Indian blogger discusses the troubled development of the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

On the condition of anonymity, Indian blogger Rishi Alvani spoke with employees of Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, who were working on a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time until recently.

The game’s development was transferred to Ubisoft Montreal, and the former developers explained why they made this decision. The most serious issue was a general lack of support from Ubisoft’s corporate headquarters.

According to Rishi Alvani, the Ubisoft Pune and Mumbai teams were downgraded to support studios after the remake story The Sands of Time, and they are now unlikely to receive large individual projects.

The release date for the remake Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is still unknown. According to Ubisoft Montreal, the game will be released when it is ready, which was announced in 2020.
