AMD Announces 15W Ryzen Processors

The Ryzen 5000 C processor family has been released by AMD Corporation. These chips are primarily intended for Chrome OS-based ultrabooks.

The Ryzen 3 5125C, Ryzen 3 5425C, Ryzen 5 5625C, and Ryzen 7 5825C processors are part of the family. They differ in terms of core count and frequency of operation, but not in terms of power consumption: all processors use 15 watts.

Vega graphics cores are included in processors based on the Zen 3 architecture. Ultrabooks with new AMD processors are expected to last at least eight hours on battery power, or a full working day.

AMD’s top chip performs similarly to or better than the Intel Core i7-1185G7 in terms of performance. When compared to the Ryzen 7 3700C, the advantage can be up to two times.

Acer аnd HP hаve аlreаdy аnnounced ultrаbooks powered by AMD processors. The cost of the devices is not mentioned in the AMD press releаse.
