Buckingham Palace has now revealed the Queen’s decision on who will appear on the balcony for Trooping the Colour 2022, and several well-known royals appear to be absent. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as Prince Andrew, will not be on the balcony. Only royals who are performing official duties will be allowed to watch the spectacle from the balcony with the Queen, according to the Palace.
“The Queen has decided that this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen,” a Palace spokesman said.
The following people will join the Queen on the balcony:
The Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.
