After a horrific crash on a major road in Greater Manchester, police are investigating.

The A57 is closed in both directions following a serious crash late last night at Mottram Moor.
The Manchester Evening News reports that Greater Manchester Police are on the scene.
They are looking into what caused the incident.
The nature of the accident will necessitate a serious collision investigation, according to National Highways.
The road between the BB6174 and the A628 near Mottram in Longdendale is currently closed to traffic.
“The road is likely to remain closed well into the morning,” says traffic monitoring service Inrix.
Alternative routes are becoming congested as people are encouraged to avoid the area.
“Congestion to Tintwistle,” says an Inrix report. Traffic diverts through Broadbottom and Charlesworth, causing delays.”
“Heavy congestion is now being experienced on surrounding routes around Gamesley Broadbottom & Charlesworth,” Greater Manchester Transport later added.
“If at all possible, please consider delaying or postponing your trip.”
The diversion of travel has also impacted bus routes.
