According to GamesIndustry, which cited EA representatives, Electronic Arts has bolstered the Need for Speed development team. This was made possible by a studio merger: Codemasters Cheshire merged with Criterion Games.
As a result, the number of developers working on Need for Speed has been doubled, according to the edition. The merger appears to be a formality: EA claims the studios have been collaborating for some time.
